What is Logan Space?



Logan Space is a distributed Operating System kernel which comes either as its own OS install or runs on FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Windows XP or later and Linux. It provides services for data management, addressing, a registry and distributed message passing, concurrency services and named data area services.

Where will it be used?



Logan Space will at least form the lowest layer for Osiris Objects as released in Osiris 2.0 and will represent a considerable step up capability and performance for Osiris.

When will it be available?



Logan Space will be available with Osiris 2.0 and the release for both will be synchronised.

What editions will be available?



There will be three editions of Logan Space:

The first edition will be for developers and applications that are for single users. It will include a free SDK, the manual set, examples and a single processor single system license of the kernel.
The second edition is best chosen for small businesses with a six host license maximum and unlimited users.
The final edition is available for enterprises and resellers and the license is unrestricted.
Pricing
Note: The pricing structure reflects the pricing of Logan as an individual product. Logan is bundled with Osiris 2.0 and does not have to be purchased separately.
